Why Formosan termites are different
We treat all three subterranean species active in South Florida — Formosan, Asian, and Eastern (native) subterranean termites. Formosans are the most aggressive of the group.

Formosan colonies grow far larger and more aggressive than native subterranean termites, so damage accumulates faster once they’re inside.
They nest above ground, too
Unlike most subterranean species, Formosans can build “carton” nests inside walls and voids — sustaining an infestation even without constant soil contact.
