How Bugsys was
created

I started my journey in the pest control industry in July 2017 after my enlistment in the United States marine corps. During my time working for multiple different pest control companies putting in my apprentice time to obtain my own licensing, I learned the ins and outs of the industry. I regularly witnessed techs around me not caring about the job they were hired to do, Iwholeheartedly believe that due to low pay from these big corporations employing them, they were not motivated to treat their work with respect, integrity, and most importantly pride. I regularly witnessed improper and unsafe pest management practices being conducted within these companies due to a lack of extensive training procedures and after taking the time to further my education on my own accord at the university of FL’s pest management university, I realized that there must be a better way. I decided to combine what I learned from the marine corps and at the university to create an environment and company culture where small unit leadership is highly valued, training is at the forefront and a regular part of our operations as a team, and where all employees are cared for as if they were family and paid a livable wage that entices our employees to reach the highest level of knowledge so that they serve our clients in the best and safest way possible.
